Restful Homes Group are proud to announce the opening of Austen Court Care Home in Evesham.
The builders are finished, the enthusiastic staff are trained, the bar is stocked and the home is now ready to open and welcome its first residents into their new home. Austen Court is a new luxury care home with 69 boutique style bedroom suites complete with bespoke furniture and well appointed ensuite wetrooms. The home is a far cry from the traditional image of a care home and has been carefully designed to provide an elegant and comfortable new home for you or your loved one.
The home has a variety of spacious lounge and dining areas along with a bar, cinema, hobbies room, hair and beauty salon, computer room and a private dining room for you to share special occasions with friends or family. We have a varied activities programme and our Lifestyle and Wellbeing team will tailor events to meet the needs and wishes of our residents. Each dining room is equipped with its own Life Skills Kitchen with safety features so you can prepare your own meal should you wish.
The rooms are all much larger than you would normally find in a care home with most suites having their own kitchenettes. Our rooms also incorporate an array of innovative technology to ensure that your independence is maximized whilst your needs are safely met. Each bedroom is fitted with acoustic monitoring that can be activated should you wish. This will enable the staff to discretely monitor your room and help them better respond to your needs and to reduce the risk of falls whilst ensuring that you are not unnecessarily disturbed with hourly checks through the night.
We have also equipped each room with a discrete sensor above the bed that can be activated to alert staff if you have been out of bed for longer than normal during the night. This system will turn on two lights when you get out of bed and will alert staff if you may need some assistance. We also have door sensors that can be switched on to alert staff if your door has opened. Again, it is your choice if this system is activated and it is you who direct your care. This equipment is an aid to the provision of good care, not a substitute.
We believe that the care we provide should revolve around you and your needs and wishes and we want each of our residents to be involved in the planning and evaluation of their care. We have introduced an electronic care plan that isn’t focused on the recording of tasks but rather on your wellbeing and your view of the care being provided. We don’t want our Nurses and Carers sitting in an office under a mountain of paperwork, we want them to be by your side discussing your care with the most important person – you. This is why we have handheld devices to record and monitor the care given and to plan the care needed alongside you so that it is truly person centred and places you at the heart of each decision.
Just because you may need assistance with some aspects of day to day living doesn’t mean that you should compromise on the standard of your accommodation or the quality of life you lead. We have made every effort to ensure that we haven’t compromised on any aspect of building the home and are determined to place each resident at the heart of the care we provide. Our chefs will meet with you to discuss your dietary needs and requirements and will be available at mealtimes to ensure that the food is to your liking.
We are creating a happy, vibrant and welcoming home and are fortunate to have put together a fantastic team of capable, enthusiastic and responsive staff who are eager to begin creating a community within Austen Court.
We will provide the highest standard of Residential, Nursing and Dementia care and would like to welcome you to have a look around our lovely new home. We are located on the corner of Cheltenham Road and Davies Road and please feel free to pop in for a chat and a freshly made cake.
